{"id":76,"date":"2010-05-25T14:41:58","date_gmt":"2010-05-25T19:41:58","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/blog.canzoneridentistry.com\/?p=76"},"modified":"2016-07-22T10:16:47","modified_gmt":"2016-07-22T15:16:47","slug":"dental-photography","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/www.canzoneridentistry.com\/blog\/dental-photography\/","title":{"rendered":"Dental Photography"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>I have been taking photographs of my patient\u2019s teeth since I started my dental practice.\u00a0 First, I used 35mm slides, then Polaroid\u2019s and now we use digital photography and intraoral cameras.\u00a0 Digital photographs are taken with a macro lens which allows for close up views of all your teeth or just one tooth.\u00a0 An intraoral camera is used by placing a small lens, the size of two pencils in the mouth to see very small areas of a tooth.<\/p>\n<p>\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0 These photographs of teeth are used for many purposes.\u00a0 When I am discussing the condition of a patient\u2019s mouth, I want to show the patient a picture of what I see.\u00a0 Photographs also give us a record of what a patient\u2019s mouth looks like at one moment in time.\u00a0 We will also use pictures of teeth to send to insurance companies to substantiate a dental claim.
